The ALYX rollercoaster buckle belt features a nylon webbing strap paired with a distinctive quick-release buckle inspired by amusement park safety harnesses. Matthew M. Williams developed the design after noticing the sculptural form and tactile qualities of roller coaster restraints at Six Flags Magic Mountain. By adapting the industrial closure into a lighter, wearable component, the belt merges utilitarian engineering with contemporary fashion, turning a functional safety mechanism into a recognizable design object.
